Status update on projects and programmes

The government has announced that EEDA will close by March 2012. A number of our business support programmes are still open for business.

See below for the latest update on future delivery plans for EEDA-funded business support programmes and European funding streams, and details of the activities we have now stopped.

Business Link	Regional service OPEN FOR BUSINESS until Friday 25 November 2011. Call 08457 17 16 15 or visit www.businesslink.gov.uk/east Previous versions of regional Business Link pages are no longer available. A national Business Link service will continue after 25 November.
Manufacturing Advisory Service (MAS)	OPEN FOR BUSINESS Call 0845 300 4443 or visit http://www.mas-east.org.uk/ Management of MAS in the East of England will be transferred to a national provider from 1 January 2012.
East of England Inward Investment and Investor Development	OPEN FOR BUSINESS Call 01707 398399 or visit www.eastofengland.uk.com/business. Delivery of Inward Investment and Investor Development services will be transferred to UK Trade & Investment in summer 2011.

REGIONAL INTELLIGENCE

STOPPED FROM APRIL 2011
Innovation strategic investments	All EEDA strategic innovation investments have now stopped. We continue to work with partners to complete existing innovation strategic investment projects.
Support for Business Networks	All EEDA support for business networks has now stopped.
Higher level skills	All EEDA higher level skills activity has now stopped.
Broadband	All EEDA broadband activity has now stopped
Regeneration	All EEDA regeneration activity has now stopped. We continue to work with partners to complete existing regeneration projects.
Strategic planning	All EEDA strategic planning work has now stopped except for our role as a Statutory Planning Consultee
Transport	EEDA has stopped funding transport projects
Economic Participation	EEDA’s Economic Participation programme has now closed
Sustainable economy	All EEDA sustainable economy activity has now stopped
