Business panel on the Working Time Directive
28 July 2010
A business panel organised by the Enterprise Europe Network East of England, will give businesses an opportunity to provide views and feedback on the Working Time Directive during a roundtable discussion with other SME's.
DG Enterprise has recently launched a consultation on the working time directive. The working time directive is part of the EU’s health and safety laws to protect workers and sets out the rules relating to working hours, rest periods, overtime, night work etc. As part of a comprehensive review of this directive the EU is seeking the views of businesses on how the rules set out in this directive impact upon your business. If you want the chance to say how the rules and exceptions set out by the directive match with the actual needs of your business and workers and how they can be improved then now is your chance to speak up!
Who should attend: Businesses of any size across any sector-ideally, the person in your business who is most familiar with how working time is organised in practice. Please note businesses active in mobile road transport are excluded from this panel.
Agenda: Join other SMEs for a round table discussion on how the working time directive impacts upon your business and have your thoughts fed back to the European Commission. Tea and coffee will be provided.
