Free, practical workshops are being held across the region to help you market your business online, as part of EEDA’s takeITon campaign. Hosted in Norwich, Bedford and Cambridge, the workshops will guide you through online marketing techniques and how to get the most out of your online marketing suppliers.

£4.5 million has been put into a pioneering skills initiative for land-based businesses. Landskills East is a new partnership set up to provide rural businesses with improved access to skills and training opportunities. Funded under the Rural Development Programme for England (RDPE) and managed by EEDA, the project offers a range of vocational training for employees, managers and owners alike.

EEDA has announced a new round of Proof of Concept funding following its recent success which saw 19 companies share £360,000. Helping to test the commercial potential of innovative new business ideas, entrepreneurs can apply for grants of up to £40,000 until Friday 17 April.

Funding is now available to support the development of innovative medical technologies to meet existing or emerging needs in the healthcare sector. The Department for Health’s National Institute for Health Research (NIHR) is inviting proposals and the application deadline is Friday 13 March.

The deadline for the Business in the Community awards for the East of England is 31 March. The awards provide recognition for companies that are integrating responsible business practice and delivering positive impacts on the environment, in the marketplace, in the workplace and in the community.
