Joint ESRC and Greater South East internship initiative
EEDA, SEEDA and LDA have secured three PhD internship positions from ESRC to undertake research on the Greater South East.
The Joint Initiative between the Economic and Social Research Council (ESRC) and the Greater South East Regional Development Agencies (EEDA, SEEDA and LDA) is an opportunity for ESRC PhD award holders in their 2nd or 3rd year to undertake a three month internship at one of the RDAs.
The award holders offered an internship will benefit from increased knowledge of regional economic dynamics in the UK, and the nature and requirement for public sector interventions, within the practical working environment of regional government agaency. The successful award holders will receive a three month extension to their PhD award. There are three internships available throughout 2009.
The closing date for the joint ESRC/Greater South East RDA'S initiative is Wednesday 12 November 2008.
